Join Colorado lawmakers for an update from Becca Jablonski on the Colorado Food Systems Advisory Council which is statutorily created in C.R.S. 24-37.3-101 through 24-37.3-107.
Dr. Jablonski is an Assistant Professor and Food Systems Extension Economist in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at Colorado State University. As part of her position, she facilitates the Colorado Governor’s Food Systems Advisory Council and is a co-leader of Colorado State University’s Food Systems Extension Team. She has 15 years of experience working across many aspects of the food system, most recently serving as a Doctoral Fellow with the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) National Institute of Food and Agriculture, a Visiting Scholar with the USDA's Economic Research Service, and an Agricultural Economic Development Specialist with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Madison County. Dr. Jablonski’s research and extension efforts focus on understanding processes of rural and regional development, with an emphasis on identifying strategies to support entrepreneurship, improve agribusiness performance and enhance regional food systems. Dr. Jablonski holds a PhD from Cornell University.
Paid Parking (~$12) is available on Grant just east of the capitol or on Sherman and 13th. You may be able to find free street parking within 4 or 5 blocks of the capitol.
Enter on the south side of the capitol at the ground level and go through security. Go right around the rotunda and you'll see House Committee Rooms (HCR) between the elevators.
